This Privacy Policy describes how Fixers Club LLC, doing business as nrgetaway ("nrgetaway," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares information in the United States when you use our website, marketing emails, and SMS alerts (the "Services"). The Services are intended for U.S. residents.
Scope
This Policy applies to our website, our marketing emails (sent via Resend), our SMS alerts (Twilio planned), and our optional user-research activities (e.g., surveys/interviews). We also use analytics and advertising technologies (Google Analytics, Google Ads/Google tag, Meta Pixel) and a consent preference tool (Cookiebot by Usercentrics).
Information We Collect
1) Information you provide
- Contact details. Your email address (for newsletters/updates) and, if you opt in, your phone number (for SMS alerts).
- User research. If you volunteer for research, we collect the responses you choose to provide (e.g., travel habits, preferences, opinions). These research responses are not stored in our production databases; they are stored in Typeform and/or Google Drive.
- Messages and preferences. Content of communications you send us and your content/notification settings.
2) Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data. IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, time on page, referrers, approximate location derived from IP, and similar diagnostics.
- Advertising & measurement data. Event data from Meta Pixel and Google Ads (e.g., page views, clicks) used for measurement and to reach people likely to be interested in nrgetaway.
- Email analytics. Our marketing emails (via Resend) may contain a tracking pixel that reports opens/clicks so we can understand engagement.
3) Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, pixels, tags, and email beacons to operate the site, remember preferences, measure performance, and—where permitted by U.S. law—support advertising and audience measurement. You can control cookies in your browser and opt out of sale/sharing as described below.
How We Use Information
- Provide and improve the Services (site performance, debugging, analytics).
- Communicate with you (newsletters, product updates, and SMS alerts; reply STOP to opt out SMS).
- Personalize and measure marketing, including using ad pixels to build/measure audiences—this activity may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California law (see below).
- Product research and development, including analyzing de-identified or aggregated insights.
- Security, fraud prevention, and compliance with legal obligations.
Sensitive data. We don't seek to collect sensitive personal information. Please don't submit health, financial account numbers, government IDs, or similar sensitive data to us.
Your Choices
- Email. Unsubscribe any time using the link in our emails.
- SMS. Reply STOP to opt out; HELP for help. Message/data rates may apply; frequency varies.
- Cookies/Tracking & Do Not Sell/Share. Use the controls in our cookie preferences (Cookiebot) and the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link (available in our site footer). We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals in supported browsers.
U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state (e.g., California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, and to opt out of sale/sharing/targeted advertising. You may also have a right to appeal a decision.

"Sale" and "Sharing" of Personal Information (California)
We do not sell personal information for money. When we use advertising/measurement pixels (e.g., Meta and Google Ads) to build or measure audiences across different contexts, California law may treat this as a "sale" or "sharing."

- We honor GPC signals as a valid opt-out request.
- We do not knowingly sell/share the personal information of consumers under 16.

Notice of Financial Incentives (California). At times, we may offer gift cards or similar incentives (e.g., for research participation). Participation is voluntary. The personal information typically involved includes contact details and research responses. We estimate the value of your data based on the incentive's value and expected engagement. Full terms will accompany each program; opting out (or deletion) will not affect the value of any incentive already provided.
How We Share Information
We share personal information with service providers who act on our behalf under contract (access limited to what they need, and restricted from using it for their own purposes), including:
- Analytics & advertising measurement: Google Analytics, Google Ads/Google tag, Meta Pixel
- Email: Resend (includes email open/click tracking pixels)
- SMS (planned): Twilio
- Consent preferences: Cookiebot by Usercentrics
- Hosting/CDN/fonts: service providers that deliver our website and assets
We also share information to comply with law, protect rights/safety, or as part of a corporate transaction. When you click an affiliate/booking link, those third parties may collect data under their own privacy policies.
Retention
- Email and phone (marketing contact information): retained until you unsubscribe or opt out.
- Research responses: retained 36 months in Typeform and/or Google Drive, then deleted or de-identified.
- Analytics/ads data: retained per our platform settings and the providers' policies.
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, then delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and our Services. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. We do not knowingly sell/share the personal information of consumers under 16.
